Pierce County Meat Animal High School Scholarship Application
Jim Geraets Memorial Scholarship/Grant. Please pass along this information & application along to anyone you know who may be interested in applying for the scholarship.
Jim was very passionate about the livestock program. He touched a lot of lives & would help anyone & everyone to be able to get started in the project. Thanks to the help of some incredibly kind & generous donors, we were able to start this fund to help keep his legacy alive & to continue to do what he was best known for, helping kids learn about the livestock industry by showing and selling on the Pierce County Auction.
We will be giving up to three $100 scholarships to first or second-year members who will be participating in the beef, goat, sheep, or swine animal projects. Criteria to apply: -All Pierce County 4-H & FFA youth members enrolled in 4-H online are invited to apply. -Must be a member of good standing in your club or chapter. -Must be a first or second-year member in the livestock project (beef, goat, sheep, or swine projects) & be enrolled in the project at the time the application is submitted. -Scholarship applications MUST be handwritten by the exhibitor.
-Previous winners are not eligible.
Applications may be scanned & emailed back to the Pierce County Livestock Committee or dropped off at the Pierce County Extension Office. Please call to make sure someone is in the office, or place your application in the drop box outside the office door. Please note: The outside door to the building locks automatically at approximately 5 pm.
